Creating and issuing an invoice

Assemble the invoice from the job, edit while it’s a draft, then issue to lock it.

When a job is done, assemble its invoice. It pulls in the agreed quote lines, any approved extras, and credits any deposit already paid.

While it’s a draft

  • Add, edit, or remove lines.
  • Apply a discount (see the discounts article).
  • Watch the live total, tax, and amount payable update as you go.

Issuing

Issuing stamps an invoice number, locks the lines and the money, and sends the invoice to the customer. Issued money never changes — later setting changes don’t move it. If you made a mistake, void it (which stops reminders) and start a fresh one.
